Safetyexcel Health and Safety

What’s in a logo?

In the Safetyexcel logo it’s me !

I had struggled with the design of the new Safetyexcel logo. I had a good idea of what I wanted but needed help in realising the design.

I made an appointment to see Stuart Dobson of PDC Copyprint Ashford in need of a professional designers input.

From the outset of our working together Stuart made it clear that the most important thing for him to do was listen to what Safetyexcel wanted from the design.

He then took my ideas and surprised me.

In the same way that no one had asked Picasso to invent cubism he suggested something I would not have ever thought of.

For the design of a business owner falling and being caught by the helping hand of Safetyexcel, he suggested that we use me as the falling business owner and my hand as the helping hand of Safetyexcel.

Sam PDC Ashford’s designer then went to work capturing the necessary images of me. Whilst Stuart discussed a whole range of design issues listening to what we required but professionally advising us where required, to achieve the best possible results.

From the initial meeting a number of proposed designs were issued to me all of which were excellent.

From these designs we chose and developed the Safetyexcel Logo, Creating Safetyexcel’s very own work of art.

The Sophie Barringer Trust

We are a registered charity, number 1111154, set up following the death of our daughter to Wilm’s Disease, a type of cancer, in December 2004.

We started fundraising in November 2003, but had no corporate identity and no idea where to begin! Step up to the mark PDC Copyprint. Stuart had heard about the Trust through family friends and offered to help us develop an identity that would be not only professional but also memorable.

The design work was second to none. Working closely with us, listening to our ideas and with a wealth of printing experience behind him, Stuart produced several ideas for discussion. Our requests for changes, additions or deletions were quickly and efficiently dealt with.

The results are tremendous. Letterheads, compliment slips, business cards brochures and full colour posters have all been produced and delivered.

Thanks to the high quality design and printing offered by PDC Copyprint, we now have an instantly recognisable identity that truly reflects the work that we do.

Ashford Town Football Club

Just days before the start of the 2005/6 football season, we received news that our programme printer was no more !

Notwithstanding that we had only days to find someone to print it, printing football programmes , sometimes two within four days of each other needs specific skills, a lot of collating, formatting and design.

As members of the Chamber of Commerce ourselves, they were our first port of call and we called PDC Copyprint to the offices for a meeting with myself and the near-hysterical editor !

The best call we ever made !!

Not only did they take on board all of the various aspects producing such a publication entails, they were immediately positive about all of the changes from the size to the layout and design that our editor wanted.

We have not had one single problem - in fact the programme itself has been called ‘the best in Non-League football’.

We cannot speak too highly of PDC Copyprint.
